Sceneys Boiled Linseed Oil is a pale raw linseed oil with driers added which enable the oil to dry quicker. Boiled Linseed Oil can be used as a deep penetrating sealer and water proofer for indoor timber furnishings and cabinets, stone paths, and concrete pavers. It can also be used on wrought iron as a rust preventer, and as an additive for enhanced flow and gloss in oil based paints. It is typically impervious to water, heat, scratches, and most stains.

    Boiled Linseed Oil

    Always wear appropriate PPE and read SDS before use. Store away from flammable sources. Warning! If using rags to apply or wipe off excess oil, ensure they are disposed of immediately after use, oil soaked rags can self-combust in left an a warm or sunlit environment. Place used rags in a bucket of water as a precaution.

    Wipe the surface clean with a wet cloth, wait until completely dry and then apply Boiled Linseed Oil with a lint free rag working the oil into the surface with circular motions directed mainly along the grain. Boiled Linseed Oil can also be applied by brush, roller or lamb’s wool applicator on larger areas.
